I keep enjoying my stays at Hotel Malerwinkel, especially the location and the lovely views from the breakfast restaurant. The renovated rooms are well equipped, and I appreciate that dogs are welcome in the rooms. Breakfast is still a recurring frustration. I’m lactose intolerant and don’t eat meat, but the choices are limited. There’s no dairy-free milk and very little for vegans. It’s sad that the options remain so restricted these days. More consideration for guests with different diets would improve the experience for me and many others.

We only stopped for a quick drink after dinner, but the wait staff were excellent and the spirits selection was fine. The locally made Williams Pear Schnapps was especially good. Sitting right by the lake made for a wonderful setting. I'd love to come back and try dinner.
