Parkhotel Egerner Höfe

The spa was the best part of our stay. The saunas were nearly empty, so it felt calm and relaxing, and the interior was tasteful and comfortable. I also appreciated the professional, friendly staff and the beautiful flower arrangements in the lobby and restaurant. The rest didn't match the advertised price category. We were in Room 245, where there was barely space for two suitcases. Our balcony faced a rural road, and cars, trucks, and groups of partying young people made noise well into the night. There was no room air conditioning. We had to ask the front desk to adjust the temperature, but our requests were ignored, so we slept in uncomfortable heat with the door open. Complimentary water was provided only on arrival. The sink was partly blocked by a wooden panel, leaving nowhere for a toiletry bag or personal items. A €22 restaurant salad was mostly lettuce with sour dressing. Smoking cigars and cigarettes was allowed at any terrace table, without consideration for non-smokers. The fitness room was tiny; even with four people it felt overcrowded, with no room to lay out a yoga mat. Breakfast had variety, but the pastries were stale and the coffee tasted like it came from a vending machine. We paid €400 a night through Booking.com, plus €20 for outdoor parking on the premises. I don't intend to return.

The spa and dining were both outstanding, and the service was flawless throughout. The rooms were beautiful, with mountain views, and every detail felt carefully considered. Parkhotel Egerner Höfe has real luxury, but still a warm Bavarian feel. We left feeling completely recharged and already thinking about another stay. Highly recommended! ❤️

The setting is hard to beat: the hotel sits near the foothills of the Alps and practically beside Tegernsee lake, with lovely views. The twin villages around it are a delight, though they get extremely crowded on summer weekends. It's a great place for an idyllic holiday or a business meeting away from the bustle of Munich or Berlin. I was here recently on a work trip and really enjoyed the hospitality, atmosphere, and food. A gem, and one of the rare hotels to get a perfect five-star review from me. The Egerner Höfe deserves it 👏

Nature and the beautiful lake surround the hotel, making it a lovely retreat for a couple or small family. The food and drinks were tasty, and the staff gave helpful suggestions. The spa, pool, and gym are generously sized and well equipped. There are quiet rooms for relaxing, hanging beds by the pool, and a hospitable welcome to the spa. Our room had a spacious balcony, a wide view, room for a child car, and a nice bathroom. Wooden furniture and details throughout create a pleasant atmosphere, and the staff were competent and professional. They also pulled off some lovely surprises, like the red rose bouquet we had ordered waiting on the breakfast table on Valentine's day.
