There were four of us in the suite, and it’s a great place for a night or two. The food was good too. Just be aware the restaurant shuts at 9 pm: we were turned away when we asked about dessert at that time. It would be nice if they stayed open until 9:30.

A good-quality four-star place, especially nice for a family holiday with little kids. The menus are okay, though guests who don’t speak much German could use more explanation. Meal preparation and having a few more staff available could also be improved. ✨

We had dinner at the hotel restaurant with the family, and it was good, just what you’d expect in a small German village. The hotel itself was really nice, and the town was very cute too.

The Heide is only about a 10-minute ride away, and the hotel lends out bikes for free. After a ride, you can sit down to a draft beer and a local dish like Heidschnucken-ragout, go on and google it. The relaxed, professional staff and the accommodation capture the Lüneburger-Heide-feeling in a nutshell.
