I was traveling from Hungary to London and realized I needed a proper night's sleep. I wanted somewhere nice by the motorway, in a German village, and found this lovely place by chance. The room was cozy, very clean, and had some nice little details. The woman at reception quickly helped me park the car somewhere safe, which mattered to me that day. Then I discovered a Christmas market in the courtyard and loved spending a few hours there. Sadly, I had to continue my journey early the next morning. I'll definitely come back and stay longer!

We had dinner for a birthday and sat at the back, which felt more intimate and suited the occasion. The food was delicious, and the wine paired perfectly with the courses. Service was spot on too: the waiter explained each dish and its wine, with a bit of humor. Loved the dinner and will be back for more!

The food is outstanding, and the staff are friendly and low-key. This charming little place might be best kept a bit of a secret, since it could get too popular to keep its fair prices, which make the hotel and restaurant affordable for most budgets. The building and layout have a lot of charm, with a small courtyard and a mix of furniture that feels random but still thoughtfully chosen. From outside it looks old and rustic, while inside the rooms are completely new, balancing practical features with good looks.

The staff were kind, knowledgeable, and professional. Their wine list is extensive, with especially good local choices and recommendations. The food was amazing too, easily the best three-course menu we've had in a long time. The veal carpaccio was a particular highlight.

I really enjoyed my two-night stay. The room was a good size, and the bathroom had a Dyson hairdryer and a really nice bath. We had a baby with us, and they provided a cot for an extra €15. Breakfast was very good, with nice yoghurts, meats, and cheeses, and they even offered mimosas.
