Ramada by Wyndham Hannover

The pillows were yellow and lumpy, and the rooms were cold. There was no fridge, and the hair dryer seemed a hundred years old, so bring your own. The room doors had broken locks throughout the hotel. Staff said that was for safety reasons. There was no food, bar or restaurant, which was inconvenient because the hotel is in the middle of nowhere. Be careful about how close it is to the conference centre: most events have their entrance on the north side, a very long walk away. If you cancel a few nights, they won't refund you, saying their card system doesn't allow it. Staff weren't helpful.

Ramada. I arrived around 23:00 to find the heating in room 401 out of order. I paid 160€ for a very cold room while the temperature outside was below zero. This shouldn't happen in a civilized country. A blonde woman at reception, around 50 years old, said there was a problem with the A/C system. I asked for a portable radiator and was told there wasn't one. I wonder why they accepted my reservation. The next morning there was no hot water in the bathroom, although there had been hot water the evening before. I asked for a full refund. Otherwise, I'd try to protect my consumer rights however I could, including reporting the experience to a consumer organization or the hotel chamber.

The rooms were cold because the heating didn't work. I complained multiple times and they didn't care. There was no hot water on day one either. Everything was terrible. Don't stay there, it's a disaster.

The bathroom was nice, and the place is close to Messe. The rest was a rough stay: the TV wouldn't work, one pillow looked more yellow than white, and there was a strange knock at the door early in the morning. The room was 27 degrees Celsius when I arrived, with the heating blasting, and there was no way to lock the door. The entrance was hidden and disgusting. Staff didn't seem to speak English or make any effort to help people who don't speak German.
