We spent a week here and had a really good time. The rooms were clean and very spacious, with a lovely view from the balcony. Breakfast and dinner were great, and the family running the hotel were incredibly friendly. A highly recommended place to stay while enjoying Elisabethszell and the rest of the beautiful Bayerischer Wald!

A lovely guesthouse, highly recommended. The people there are wonderful, the rooms are comfortable and beautifully furnished, and everything was spotless. Breakfast was fresh and hearty. You can feel the heart they put into the place.

On Christmas Day 2025, a large family was served at 1:30 pm with such warm, thoughtful care. You must have been under pressure and very busy, but the service was still perfect and heartfelt. The food was freshly cooked, and I think the salad, especially the potato salad, was freshly made too. We had such a lovely day at your place. Thank you for the warm hospitality. Stay just as you are, as a family, as employees, and as an asset to the region. We wish you lots of success and joy in your work. Warm wishes from the Kierm family from Reibersdorf. We’ll be back soon for a currywurst, because yours is perfect too.

The 30-minute drive was well worth it. Dinner at the Oberer Wirt was absolutely the right call 👍 Katrin and her family and staff were incredibly friendly, and guests are treated like they really matter. My Kasimir schnitzel with fries was delicious and came out quickly, and I had a Mooser Lisl beer in a stoneware mug. Thanks for a wonderful dinner!

Last Thursday evening, we had the asparagus with schnitzel and homemade asparagus sauce, and it was fantastic. As always, the service felt natural and very friendly. You can tell they cook with love.
