That lovely garden and its view make such a comfortable place to sit. I keep coming back to the Burgschenke whenever I’m on the Moselle. The wine list is broad and the wines are delicious, while both the small and larger dishes arrive fresh, taste great, and look lovely. Prices are very reasonable too 👍 Thanks so much. I hope I can visit again soon.

We had a very pleasant stay and would happily return. The apartment was spotless and nicely furnished, and the hosts were warm and friendly. Thank you!

I share Biolek’s description of being “Riesling-obsessed.” The Balles winery’s dry Rieslings are excellent, especially the 2011 Bruttiger Götterlay Auslese and Spätlese dry wines. They offer very good value and are hard to beat. Their strong Riesling bouquet reflects the steep Moselle slopes, but the acidity never gets in the way of enjoying them. The other dry wines are enjoyable on their own or with food: the 2013 Blanc de Noir, the 2014 Pinot Blanc, and the 2014 Riesling QbA dry in the liter bottle.

The advice is excellent, and the wine is delicious. Definitely worth a visit, especially for a glass on the Moselle.
