I was a little disappointed that my room was in a separate building. The hotel itself has a nice old German feel, though, and breakfast is served in the hotel and was very good.

I’m reviewing the restaurant only. We came for lunch and could choose from four different menus, each with a starter and dessert. Booking ahead is recommended, and the staff were very friendly. The rooms and furniture are old fashioned and rustic, but high quality. The food was excellent, fresh, and made with quality ingredients. At the moment, a three course menu costs around €50. With drinks for two, you should have at least €120 in cash. Card payment is only possible with an EC card. This isn’t somewhere to go often just to fill up. It’s a meal to enjoy.

Our daughter’s christening at Restaurant Schoekels went wonderfully, and we were completely satisfied. Everyone enjoyed the delicious food, and the service was attentive, friendly, and very professional. The atmosphere felt warm and welcoming, and the location was truly beautiful. We felt comfortable from start to finish. Thank you for making it such a special day. We’d love to come back.

The food was excellent, and my girlfriend and I loved the service and atmosphere at Schökel. We were warmly welcomed and the attentive staff looked after us all evening. We’ll definitely return.
