The hostess was warm and friendly, and we could park right by the house. We stayed one night as a family, and the apartment was spacious and clean. It has two bedrooms, a living room with dining space, kitchen, bathroom, and a separate toilet. The kitchen had what you’d need to cook for yourself, though we didn’t use it.

Breakfast had plenty to choose from, including a wide selection of cold cuts, cheese, and jams. The accommodation matched its description and is in a very quiet location, with good parking right outside. I’d gladly recommend it.

Everything we needed was there, and the holiday apartment was both spacious and very clean. It’s in a lovely spot in the heart of sleepy Kottenheim in the Volcanic Eifel. We’d be glad to return.

If you’re after peace and quiet and like hiking, this place could suit you. We stayed for one night in a double room with a shared bathroom, which was fine for that length of time, though I wouldn’t choose it for two weeks. It was definitely doable for one night. There wasn’t much to eat within walking distance, but the pizzeria was good. At 5 pm on Saturday nothing was open, so we had to drive a good 3.5 km to pick something up. Other options were at least 2.5-4 km away. We could use the kitchen, but there was no water connection there, so I had to fetch water from the bathroom downstairs to make coffee. There was a microwave, fridge, kettle, Senseo machine, and coffee pods. I can’t say much about service, since we only spoke with the nice lady on the phone to get the key. Motorcycles could be parked in the garage.
