When we arrived at the apartment in the evening, the tenant had already opened the door for us. Then we found out it had been double-booked because it was listed on several platforms. That was a real problem: it was a long weekend, and finding somewhere else so late was difficult and very expensive. The landlady could be reached by phone, but instead of helping, she just blamed Airbnb. I still haven’t received my refund. Communication only happens when I chase it, and it hasn’t been productive. She says she started the refund through Airbnb, but Airbnb told me they had no record of it and that they had opened my case. I hope I get my money back soon. If you want a reliable place to stay, especially if you want to play it safe, book somewhere other than with Corinne.

The apartment was small, but nice, with a kitchen, living room, bedroom, bathroom, little storage room, and hallway. From the living room there’s access to a very small terrace that had enough space for a table, chairs, and a gazebo. It’s a pleasant, quiet spot for a short break, set among meadows, chestnut trees, and little paths. The Emderhaus is part of a group of semi-detached houses close together. We collected the key from a combination lock box rather than in person, and arranged contact by email. Thank you for a lovely time.
