Hotel-Gasthof-Hirsch

The service and quality are the best in town.

The best around, both locally and abroad.

I had a great time!

The room's first impression was hard to get past: the mattress protector had hairs in four different lengths and colors. The hotel does have plenty of parking, and weekday breakfast starts at 6:30 a.m., which at least makes it easy to get out quickly. The website calls the place timeless, and that seems right in the sense that it feels as if time stopped here. Our room had the feel of an old youth hostel. The furniture was chipped and worn, and the little table with two chairs looked like it might have come from a dining room. The carpet was stained, and the refrigerator was filthy and completely iced over. In the bathroom, soap left by previous guests was still stuck to the dish. The door looked as if it had once been kicked in; its lock hadn't been fixed properly, and it moved in every breeze. Breakfast was very basic, with lukewarm coffee. The server emptied the table's trash can into our hands and went straight back to serving. Dinner was poorly presented, and the prices didn't match the quality. Most fast food places would be a better choice.
