Andante Hotel Erding Hotel

The staff were friendly, and our room was clean to our satisfaction. The kitchen area was fine, though the tap has a buildup of green hard calcium deposits. DM sells decent products, such as Denk Milch, for removing that kind of deposit. The location is handy for fun places like therme erding, and the hotel is fairly affordable, with a small car park. But there are things to fix. Air conditioning and the fridge take hours to cool down, and the room was warm at night in September, with mosquitoes everywhere. A working air conditioner or a standing fan would help in summer. At breakfast the setting was good, but the kitchen radio just played a local FM station for everyone. A decent music playlist costs almost nothing. We thought the TV remote was broken, since it only worked when held right up to the screen. The batteries should be checked.

Our rooms weren't cleaned for two days straight, even after we asked. Then the general manager was caught lying to the police on the phone, first asking us to pay, which we agreed to, then changing his mind and ordering all 8 rooms to be emptied. He spoke German to the police, apparently thinking I couldn't understand, and said we were being aggressive and rude. Cameras show what happened, and witnesses overheard it, including a reception worker. I feel bad for her. Stay away. This is the worst hotel manager I've encountered in 8 years of traveling.

The reception lady was nice, but the manager was arrogant. We stayed 3 nights and asked for cleaning every day; it still wasn't done. We wanted to pay for the rooms, were told to do it in the evening, and then the manager called the police and lied about what was happening. Horrible!

The parking lot outside is tiny, so we paid for the garage, but getting our SUV down there really didn't go well. Avoid it. Inside, the place felt like a cheap, trashy dump. There were 10 empty beer bottles under the kitchen sink, the silverware tray was dirty, and the microwave was filthy. The furniture was old, and the bathroom had dirt under the sink and hair blocking the drain.
