Hotel Nummerhof

The owners are so friendly, and it’s a handy spot close to the airport. This is a lovely family hotel with a good breakfast and lots for children to do, including a large playroom and electric ATVs outside. Highly recommended.

We stayed one night before flying home from Munich airport, and it worked really well for the kids. The staff were warm and friendly, the breakfast was lovely, and our room was spotless, with a comfortable bed and a roomy bathroom with great water pressure. I’d suggest staying two nights so you can visit Therme Erding the day before your flight.

We keep coming back to Hotel Nummerhof, usually once a year for Therme Erding and Oktoberfest, and stayed eight nights in early October 2024. The family-run feel is a big part of it: the staff are helpful and welcoming, and treat you like family. We’re already looking forward to next year. The location works well for us, tucked into the countryside but still close to town. Aufhausen train stop is about a 10-minute walk, with trains to Munich every 20 minutes and a journey of around 40 minutes. Shops, an ATM, and restaurants are near the station. It’s about a five-minute drive on back roads to Therme Erding and 10 minutes to Erding’s old town and Gasthaus & Hotel zum ERDINGER Weißbräu Erding, our favorite local pub. The hotel sells Therme Erding vouchers at a generous discount, and has a gym, sauna, and coin-operated washers and dryers, which are handy on longer trips. Rates for stays of seven nights or more are the best, and much more reasonable than Munich during Oktoberfest. Our room was spacious and comfortable, with a queen bed, sofa, desk, mini-fridge, plenty of storage, lights and outlets, and a large bathroom with heated towel racks and an adjustable shower head. The breakfast buffet is always fabulous: meats, cheeses, my favorite lox with horseradish, eggs, cereal, fruit, yogurt, vegetables, juice, water, and fancy coffee machines.

We went for Valentine’s weekend and were really pleased with the service and quality. There were rose petals on the bed and a bottle of prosecco waiting for us at the bar. Those thoughtful little touches made the stay lovely and memorable. If you’re planning to enjoy Therme Erding, the hotel has some attractive deals.
