Pension Jost

The staff were very friendly. They’re planning fresh renovations soon, though the place doesn’t really need them yet.

The three of us were treated very kindly, and bringing our dogs was fine too. We’ll be back at the end of September.

The room stinks, there’s no soap in the bathroom, and sometimes the hot water is gone. For 700 euros for a double room, the conditions just don’t match the price. There’s only one bathroom and a kitchen with two burners on the first floor. The floor creaks, and getting internet access when you enter the room means making a call. Even then, it switches off in the evening. A disaster. I can’t recommend it.

We’ve stayed here with groups of up to eight since early 2017, and the guesthouse has been in very good shape inside and out. The rooms are spotless. In summer, the owners supplied all the food for our evening barbecues, and during football season they even put a TV in the garden. Internet is free, which isn’t something you can take for granted at this price, and the room rates are reasonable. A 10-day stay can’t be expected to cost the same per day as a 30-day one. I can’t agree with the previous review. Anyone unhappy with the service here should choose a five-star hotel and pay for full service. And to the Szwed family: posting false reviews that hurt a business is rude and damaging, and spreading falsehoods online to harm someone is a criminal offense in Germany.
