The hosts were really friendly and helpful, and the old building has a lot of charm. It’s in a cozy little town, a good place to break up a long drive and get a bit farther from the highway.

Dogs are welcome, and the €5 surcharge felt quite reasonable. We were also glad card payment was available, which still isn’t a given at country inns. Our attic apartment was spacious and seemed to have been renovated recently. The bathroom was nice and the bed was good. The dining room was simply furnished, but kept up well and felt cozy. At dinner, the daily special was venison ragout, and the schnitzel was delicious. Breakfast was set out for us in the morning: two kinds of ham, cheese, eggs, and jam, along with coffee and hot chocolate. The service was friendly and attentive throughout. When we asked, they provided extra bedding for the crib at no charge and without any fuss, thanks! We stayed at the Linde for one night while passing through and were very satisfied.
