6/10
It's an average budget hotel with a pool. When I checked in, there were lots of guests, including working people and students on tours. The front desk staff weren't very welcoming, and the restaurant and bar staff weren't either. For takeaway, they hand you the food on a tray and expect you to carry it to your room yourself. Nobody offered to help, even though I had luggage as well as the tray.

The hotel is within walking distance of the Messe, and the rooms were quiet. Breakfast was very limited: just one small bowl of fruit, which was gone by 6:35 even though the hotel was full. All in all, it was overpriced.

I won't be coming back. The room felt old and damp, there were mosquitoes, no soap, and no air conditioning, so it was unbearable in summer. Breakfast was only okay, the coffee tasted awful, and I even found a hair in the water. The service made things worse. The employees weren't welcoming and didn't look at you while speaking. Maybe they were overworked or underpaid, but either way, it felt unfriendly. One of the most horrible hotel stays I've had, and I can't recommend it to anyone.

The restaurant was very good, and breakfast had a great choice of hot and cold food. Parking was easy. The hotel is huge, and the building and rooms are getting old, but everything was clean. The location was okay.

The pillows were uncomfortable, and the bathroom was sparse. The interiors felt sad, with a dirty carpet and mould on the sink and bath. We arrived at 8 pm in the height of summer and were told the restaurant shift ended at 9. They gave us a list of nearby takeaway places, but they all closed between 9 and 10.
