Leonardo Hotel Esslingen

We love staying here. It’s the second time we’ve booked this hotel for a night to break up the drive to our ski resort. The town is very pretty, and the hotel is easy to get to. Our room was spacious and very neat, with coffee and tea facilities. Breakfast was a real treat. I’d suggest taking a tour of the local winery Kessler.

The gentleman who worked at the bar and in the dining room that evening was great, and the food was good. We’ll stay at this hotel again when we’re in the area, and try other Leonardo Hotels too. Unfortunately, the Nuremberg hotel was booked for the dates we need next. We were very satisfied with the hotel, room, food, and staff overall. We only had breakfast once, though, and there seemed to be a long discussion between a staff member and the manager. They were also taking away trays of food while I was still choosing.

The hotel was incredibly clean, in the rooms and all the shared areas. We’d booked two connecting comfort rooms and were upgraded to connecting Junior Suites when we arrived, which we really appreciated. The staff were lovely and helpful, quickly handling our requests and answering questions. Check-in and checkout were easy. I highly recommend it.

The room was spacious, and that huge bed was a favorite. Breakfast had plenty of variety and fresh choices each day, better than at our previous hotel in Stuttgart. We also enjoyed the 5th-floor gym and sauna, the sparkling water refill station, and the really friendly staff. It made for a comfortable stay. The soundproofing worked well except when you’re right above the restaurant, where loud conversations at night could be a bit noisy. The Wi-Fi is open, with no password, which may concern some people. There’s no hotel parking lot, so you need to use the underground garage to the left, Apcoa parking, for €14 per day.
