Hotel Erbprinz - Gourmet & Spa

The spa was awesome, apparently just completely remodeled, and super clean and modern. We also had a great meal in the more relaxed restaurant, the one without a Michelin star. My wife and I are gluten-free, and the staff took that seriously, which made dining there a pleasure. Everyone on staff was friendly and attentive from the welcome through the end of our stay, without making the service feel fake or overdone. The rooms are a little dated and could use some TLC. The hotel has been expanded several times, which gives it that box in a box (verkastelt) feeling. That wasn’t enough to make me rate the hotel badly, since the rest more than made up for it. We’ll stay here again next time we’re in Karlsruhe.

We stayed on 19.12.25, and I really enjoyed the pool, sauna, and snow shower. There was fruit and tea by the sauna and pool, and the hotel felt very clean and cozy. The breakfast had a big assortment and was very generous. When we checked out on the 20th, the lady at reception, who was a supervisor, was very friendly and even gave us bottles of water for the road. The room design was beautiful, and the bed was comfortable. This is one of the best hotels we’ve stayed in.

The spa was first-rate and very well maintained, and the breakfast was delightful. The hotel has a classic, classy feel, and the service was exceptional. The rooms have a traditional style but are incredibly comfortable, with lots of attention to detail. Fresh, thick towels, a cozy bed, and a room that feels five-star. It was a fantastic stay, just much too short.

The spa and pools were amazing, and the rooms were spacious enough for our family of four, including two children. We had a really relaxing weekend and enjoyed the hotel’s central location in Ettlingen. Some guests were rude and seemed to think children should behave like adults, but that wasn’t the hotel’s fault.
