The room was smart, clean, and really tidy, and the place was peaceful, about a five-minute walk from the river. Koblenz is still only a short drive away. After a long day on my motorbike, tired and overheated, I appreciated the warm welcome. The staff were attentive and gave me a hand with the bike. Dinner was superb, especially the smoked salmon rolled in roasted aubergine with honey and mustard dressing. I’d only needed an inexpensive place for one night, but got much more than I expected for the price. I’d like to come back for a few days.

The owners are brilliant, and they speak English, so communication shouldn’t be a problem. This was my second stay, and I’ll definitely return. The hotel is clean and quiet, and having a car park mattered a lot to me. Breakfast was nice too. It isn’t a luxury hotel, but for what you pay, I’d rate it at 4-5 stars. It’s not the best place around, but certainly not the worst.

We stayed in the chalet, which was comfortable and very clean. The pub’s food and beer were excellent, and breakfast is well worth getting. It’s in a lovely, quiet area, handy for visiting several Rhine castles and Coblenz. Saturday night was a little noisy, though.

The room was comfortable and clean, but I wouldn’t look under the bed. There’s a television, though it isn’t programmed, and no Wi-Fi. Breakfast is plentiful if you get up early. Later on, there may be just leftovers or nothing at all. The host showed no goodwill, and you pay a lot for services you don’t receive. Not a nice experience, especially for the price.

Fachbach is 2 km from Bad Ems, and most restaurants in Fachbach were closed. Bad Ems has a range of places to eat. The hotel itself was very comfortable, with spacious rooms and a great breakfast. The staff were friendly, and the price was very reasonable.
