Hotel Saar

A small, nice hotel.

The breakfast had a good range of choices, and there was plenty of parking. I only stayed one night, but I’d keep this place in mind for another visit to the area. The staff were very friendly and helpful, and the rooms and bathrooms were spacious and extremely clean. I didn’t feel like anything was missing, and I’d happily recommend the hotel.

I’ve stayed here for years, for work and personal trips, and always feel well looked after. They’re happy to accommodate special requests, including bedding preferences. The rooms are comfortable and very clean, and I found the mattresses especially kind to my back. There’s a wide choice at the breakfast buffet, served in a friendly atmosphere. I’m looking forward to coming back.

The shower gave me a scare: getting in and out means a high step, and I slipped on the way out, so it could have ended badly. A few other things bothered me too. The room was cold when I arrived, with the window open in early November, though the heating came on quickly and there was an extra blanket in the wardrobe. The TV was at the far end of the spacious, very clean room, quite a distance from the bed. Still, it’s a lovely, clean, family-run hotel. Check-in details came by email on arrival day, so I could check in at my own pace that evening. Breakfast was appetizing, with a good selection in a pleasant room. The price for what you get is very good, so I recommend it.
