There are lots of pleasant walking and hiking routes nearby, and the small zoo and Heimatsmuseum are within walking distance. The museum currently has a special exhibit on the construction of the reservoir, Talsperre. My room had plenty of space for two and wasn't cramped, and there was hot water. The food was good, and so was the beer. The staff were friendly. When they knew some English, they wanted to speak it with me, while I wanted to practice German with them.

We ended up here for a white Christmas and New Year at the last minute, after all the ski hotels had filled up. It was simple and reasonably priced, though nothing special. The staff were nice, and some spoke English. There is underground parking for an extra fee. We wouldn't come back, as there are many private hotels in the area with more character.

The staff are friendly, and the rooms are spacious and comfortable. It's a good hotel for a weekend or a business trip in the city.
