Breakfast and dinner were both lovely, and the pool and sauna were spotless. Our room was fabulous, and the hotel sits right by the lake, which is hard to beat. We had such a nice stay and would happily recommend it.

The breakfast was fantastic and there was plenty of it. We also loved the pool and the cozy sauna, and our room was furnished with real taste. Many thanks to Mrs. Sondermann and her lovely staff for such an enjoyable stay at Landhaus Stöcker. We’d be glad to come back.

I was in town for work for one night, and a few things unfortunately came together. The room I’d booked had a broken heating system, so the friendly older landlady, who spotted me and waved me over, put me in the room by the pool instead. Personally, I found that room incredibly uncomfortable. It was all stark white, with hospital-like plastic flooring and just a few plastic chairs; it made me think of a sanatorium. I didn’t feel at ease there, even for a single business night. Finding the entrance and registration area was confusing too. The main building looked like an ordinary home, and I couldn’t make out clear directions or signs. I had to leave around 6:30 a.m. for a client meeting, so breakfast wasn’t available. The owner asked me for some brown bread, but the €10 breakfast charge felt much too high to me. Given the price and how the stay went, I can’t recommend the hotel.
