Hilton Garden Inn Munich Messe

I've stayed here while traveling about 1-2 times a year, and the service overall has unfortunately gone downhill. The rooms are modern, but there was no water provided. For a 4-star hotel, I would expect a bottle. I selected a specific room through online check-in, but the reception gave me a different one when I arrived because my chosen room apparently wasn't ready. If they can't commit to that option, they shouldn't offer it.

The location worked well for us traveling by car, with easy motorway access and secure parking. Parking costs 8€ per night, but it felt safe. At Hilton Garden Inn Munich Messe, our twin room was spacious, comfortable, and had what we needed. The hotel was modern, clean, and well maintained, and the staff were professional and efficient. We had an excellent stay.

We really liked the quieter location a little farther out, and the view across the fields gave the place a slight holiday feel. Dinner was surprisingly good value for Munich, with fair prices and good quality. Breakfast was excellent, with some variety each day. We stayed five nights, and the bright, spacious rooms made us feel comfortable right away. The hotel still feels fresh and new, and the fitness room has what you need to keep up your routine. The coworking areas downstairs have a great atmosphere, too. We'd definitely come back, though reception could handle one or two things more smoothly.

I had a beer at the bar Monday, then waited another 30 minutes for a second one, even though I asked. There were never more than two other people there, and they left after one drink. The staff kept disappearing into the restaurant and coming back to take drinks there, but I never got another beer. I'll be here six more days, but I won't drink at this horrible bar. I'll buy beer somewhere else and have it in my room. This is the worst bar service I've ever had at any Hilton worldwide.
