We came for dinner twice. The food was good, but the service was absolutely awful. Without a reservation, forget it. If you’re American and don’t have one, forget it even more. You’ll probably be put in a side room and then ignored. Both times we waited a full 20 minutes just to order drinks, then another hour or maybe longer for the food. Don’t come here hungry, or the hanger may get the better of you and you’ll go postal!

The hotel is friendly and nicely located in the town center, with good food and WiFi. The staff are very, very friendly. My one small complaint is the noise from the restaurant when staff clean up around 23:00. They drag tables and chairs around, and it gets very loud, which could bother someone who goes to bed early.

The breakfast was outstanding, and the rooms were comfortable and clean. Staff were professional, courteous, and friendly. Great place.

When I was working in Atzenhofen for six weeks, my coworkers and I would sometimes finish work and ask each other, “Italian?” A break from schnitzel and bratwurst now and then was a must. Lo Scolglio being open on most German holidays made it even better. It’s my favorite restaurant in the greater Ansbach area!

The portions were generous and tasty, and the staff were really friendly. They welcomed our dog too, which was nice, and they spoke English. We’d love to come back one day. Really recommend this place.
