Good value for what we paid per night. The hotel is a little outside Obertsdorf's main town and right by a McD's. The rooms are clean and modern, everything works, and the beds and linens are comfortable. There are plenty of towels, though the rooms are on the small side. Staff were friendly and very helpful. Guests can use the ski and snowboard tuning station in the lobby for free. The bar and lounge have lively apres-ski, and there's a sauna, steamroom, and heat lamp room.

The Explorer salad was really good, and there's a bar and restaurant for dinner. Breakfast is also a strong point, especially the egg station where you can have eggs made however you like. It's a good hotel near Oberstdorf, with a bus stop right beside it. The rooms are clean, spacious, and well equipped. I only missed having a refrigerator.

This was my third Explorer Hotel, and I don't think it'll be my last. The staff were really friendly, and check-in was smooth. Thanks for the great service. Breakfast has a huge selection, including as much hot chocolate as you want, so you'll have plenty of energy for the day. If you stay in for dinner, the portions aren't very big, but the pizza and “Flammkuchen” are tasty. The parking lot can get pretty full, though there are EV chargers. It's a great place to stay for a family hiking or skiing trip.

The rooms are nice, but the price feels too high for the service and facilities. There weren't any glasses or mugs in the room, and shower water wouldn't drain, so the bathroom flooded. Cleaning staff came in multiple times even though we'd asked for privacy. Also, the double rooms have two mattresses on the double bed, leaving an uncomfortable gap down the middle.
