The location made everyday errands easy, whether we went on foot, by bike, or by car, and we usually didn’t have to look for parking. There’s also a kiosk on the main road for anything needed late at night. The town center takes about 25 minutes to reach on foot, and the Kiel Fjord is closer. We booked directly with the local agency and everything went smoothly; our questions were answered along the way. We spent two weeks here in late summer 2023. The house is modern but still warm and inviting, in excellent condition, with charming decor. It’s supplied with the usual kitchen gear and a few games, including a game console. Out back, the garden seating area is cozy and looks over a lovely nautical-themed garden. There’s a shed where you can keep bicycles. It’s a great base for a holiday with both downtime and day trips. We enjoyed the terrace, could head out to the harbor and old town in the evenings, or just unwind by the fjord. The house and garden make for a pleasant stay on rainy days as well as quiet ones. S&J from Dortmund.
