The food was a mess: the salad bar and roast pork were a complete disaster, and the cocktails were awful. Breakfast cost €15 but was made up of cheap branded products. The rooms were dirty, and no one wanted to shower. Staff forgot a lot and didn’t seem sure what was available. Definitely wouldn’t recommend it.

The apartment was a huge disappointment, especially for the exorbitant price. We knew it would be expensive, but the glowing description made us think it was worth treating ourselves. In 18 years of coming to this region, we’ve never had such a disastrous stay. The bathroom looked like it hadn’t changed since the 70s. You couldn’t use the bathtub because all its fixtures were missing, and the uncovered drain showed years of grime. The shower drain was blocked, the curtain was brown at the bottom, and there was no light over the mirror or hairdryer. The washing machine was modern enough. The kitchen was advertised as fully equipped, but had only an old double hotplate and an ancient single grill, hardly inviting for four people trying to cook a proper meal. There were dirty dishes in the dishwasher when we arrived, which said a lot about how thoroughly the place had been cleaned. The loose faucet needed two hands to use so the screw underneath wouldn’t fall out, and the electrical outlets came away from the wall when we changed appliances. There was no wardrobe in the large room, no bedside lamps, and the little wardrobe had just three hangers. I wouldn’t even give it one star, but that was unfortunately the only option.

We had a parents’ weekend here and were really happy with our stay. The piadina and cocktails were excellent, and both the hosts and service staff were very accommodating.

We stayed last August and felt at home right away. The owners were genuinely welcoming and flexible, and the room had lots of charm and comfortable beds. The balcony stood out, with cosy seating and a stunning view. The lake and train station are close by, and there’s a lovely café next door with a little shop full of imaginative souvenirs.
