Residence Inn Frankfurt City Center

I had a spotless, spacious room with a kitchen, seating area, and a huge balcony with a beautiful view. Breakfast was delicious each morning, with lots of choices, including gluten-free options. The lobby coffee machines and well-equipped gym were nice to have too. The location is ideal, only a few minutes’ walk from the city center, attractions, coffee shops, restaurants, and a shopping mall. The entrance was easy to miss the first time, at least for me, so I added a photo showing where it is. I also felt safer with key-card access beyond the lobby. Pedro made check-in smooth and professional, and Ben and the rest of the staff kept offering great support throughout my stay a few months ago in September. They went out of their way to make things comfortable. I’ve stayed at other Residence Inn hotels, including in Copenhagen and Dubai, and the Frankfurt branch is my favorite. Highly recommended for a visit to Frankfurt.

I paid €1,600 for my stay, but breakfast felt shockingly basic for a Marriott Residence Inn at those rates. There was no smoked salmon, and scrambled eggs were the only egg choice. I don’t eat scrambled eggs and need eggs cooked through, so I asked for a simple omelet every day. Each time, staff said they were too busy because of the crowd. It’s hard to justify such high room prices while refusing a basic request from a paying guest. A high-end hotel should offer some flexibility and service. This was very disappointing and poor value for money. The gym was lacking too.

The front desk staff were very nice and accommodating, and the room itself was nice. There was a strange smell in the bathroom, perhaps glue. Breakfast was very disappointing, with a poor selection of food. The location really is amazing, with so many places within walking distance. I’d return for that alone.

We’ll be using this as our home base when we return every three months for medical treatments at the university hospital. It’s a quick ride there, and handy for visiting downtown too. The room has a kitchenette where we can make basic meals when we don’t feel like going out. Breakfast is free and really nice, and the staff are great.
