Hotel Emiliana am Bahnhof

The room was spacious and good, with a comfortable bed. I didn't see anyone from the service team because of the pandemic, but they responded quickly and were super helpful when I sent requests by SMS.

They cancelled my booking two weeks before we were due to arrive, without explaining why or helping us find another place. I'd booked months ahead to make sure we had somewhere to stay for a trade show. It was very unprofessional. Others seem to have had this happen too, and the practice is probably illegal. We'll contact the authorities to report it.

I noticed blood on the bed linen at check-in and reported it, but they accused me of leaving it there. My colleague checked the trash and found only wet wipes. I'd tried to wipe the blood away because I thought it might be makeup or another kind of stain. There was also toilet paper, like you'd expect in a regular human toilet. Check24 did refund me, which I appreciate, but I wouldn't stay at a hotel like that again. It was also strange that they didn't have decent drinks, but you learn from these experiences.

The hotel is nice and well located, and the furnishings look new, but the lack of cleanliness is reason enough to avoid it. There was dust, dirty flooring, an unhygienic bathroom, and limescale everywhere. The bed linens, including the sheets, were dirty and had bloodstains, and the towels weren't changed. The service gets a strong no thanks from me. The owner needs to make major improvements. I can't recommend this place.
