LIV iN Residence Frankfurt-Seilerstraße

This was our second visit, and the very good breakfast is one reason I'd consider coming back again. The hotel's location is excellent, and the reception and service are excellent too. I'd recommend it for a short visit.

After the stress of bed bugs and a dirty room at the Miramar Hotel, Hotel Zeil was a real relief. I had to leave Miramar in the middle of the night, but Zeil had a vacancy and checked me in at 1 am. The room was decent, spacious enough, and cheaper than Miramar, with a renovated bathroom and a shower that worked well. My windows faced the yard in room no 41, so it was quiet, and the new lift was fast. The receptionists were friendly and helpful, and the location is very central, close to everything. It gets warm when you turn on the heater. There was some dust in the bathroom, the pillows and blanket were outdated, and water sat in the sink, but the room felt cleaner and more decent and spacious than Miramar.

The business room had a lovely big, clean bathroom, comfortable beds, a really large Plasma TV, and a small fridge. I liked the room, though at times you could feel and hear the metro. It wasn't noisy, and the staff were good.

At the fair price, it was a reasonable place to stay. The rooms had a clean, timeless modern look, and both the room we had and the second room were spacious enough, with beautiful bathrooms and great showers. Downtown is close enough to walk to. I chose the hotel partly because parking was offered, but there were no spots left. Parking is difficult in Frankfurt, and the nearby parking house costs extra if you don't get one of the few hotel spaces. In both rooms the right side of the bed was worn down and sagged, which could cause back ache by morning for an adult, while the left sides were fine. One fridge didn't work; the other was so iced over that opening it left puddles. I also wasn't happy with the room service. When making the beds, they should put the sheets back in place after pulling off the mattress, instead of just laying the blankets neatly on top. I thought a long time about the rating.
