I contacted the hotel directly and gave them a chance to sort these problems out, but nothing was addressed. The service was very poor, and the management came across as greedy. The room listing says queen-size bed, but it was two separate mattresses pushed together with no topper, which didn’t meet my expectation of a queen bed. There was no telephone, despite it being listed in the description. There was also no kettle, tea, or coffee, basics I’d expect even at a 3-star hotel. Overall, this accommodation didn’t live up to its description or what I expected from a 4-star hotel.

The location made it easy to get to the main attractions. The staff were kind, and breakfast had a good variety with nice service. The hotel itself was pleasant, everything was clean, and the bed was very comfortable.

The room was lovely and very clean, and the bathroom was spacious and spotless too.

The bathroom layout is a complete flop. The toilet, shower, and basin areas have been arranged badly, wasting a lot of space that could have been used better. The shower is fully open, with clear glass and no door, so there’s no privacy. Families stay here, but so do people on work trips, and showering like that feels pretty poor.

I was at the hotel for a seminar, so the location worked well for that. But my first night there was no heating, and in the middle of the night I had to ask for an electric heater. The maintenance guy came the next day to fix it. He said they’d renewed the whole heating system, but I guess they hadn’t checked that every room was heating properly.
