Trip Inn Frankfurt Nordwestzentrum

The rooms were nice and breakfast was too, but at about 4:00 am the emergency alarm suddenly went off and everyone had to evacuate. It turned out to be an accidental or false alarm. Nobody from the hotel staff or reception took responsibility for announcing what happened or telling us we could go back inside. I eventually learned that alarms being triggered like this is very common in these buildings. I wouldn't recommend staying unless you're in the mood to have your sleep disturbed.

The staff were friendly and breakfast was good, and the room had plenty of space. But the duvet smelled of cigarettes, and the bathroom ventilation barely worked, letting in a mix of waste and smoke smells. There was no fresh air, so I had to open the window even though it was cold. I wouldn’t recommend staying here.

The location is handy, but the rest of our stay was unpleasant. Our family room reeked of cigarettes, so we had to change rooms even though the hotel is supposed to be non-smoking. The hallways and rooms smelled bad, there were cobwebs, and the place felt dirty. You could feel the mattress springs, too. Breakfast was disappointing: food kept running out and only appeared again when we asked, and it wasn’t very good anyway.

The room was good, and the receptionist was very helpful. Finding the place took a little effort: after leaving the underground metro, look for a small Trip Inn sign, go into the building, then take the lift up to reception. Once I got settled, I had a great stay.
