Breakfast on the balcony was one of our favorite parts of the four nights at this quiet, cozy farmhouse apartment. The bedrooms are thoughtfully decorated, the kitchen has all the equipment we needed, and the whole place is very clean. Our host Isabel made everything easy. She speaks great English, was quick to respond and helpful through the booking and our stay, and her warm, generous welcome made us feel at ease. She also knows the area well and gave us lovely suggestions. The kids had a wonderful time with the host family and the cute kittens on the farm. Thank you for memories we’ll treasure!

We really enjoyed the peaceful farm setting, especially the little stream that helped us relax at night. You can look around the farm, see the cows being milked, and chat with the welcoming family. Isabel was always kind and checked that everything was okay. Our apartment at Jakobsbauernhof was spacious for two adults and two children, well cared for, and equipped with just about everything, even a washer, dryer and slicer. The farm sits in the middle of Schwarzwald, close to Reichenbach, with Freiburg and Europa park about a 35-minute drive away. Places in the south of the forest, including Titisee and Todtnau, take roughly an hour to reach. A really good stay for us.

The Freiämter farmers' market and the handmade treats from Jakobsbauernhof were highlights for us, and the Black Forest cake from Mellert Bakery was fantastic. Our son was delighted with the experience and gave it a thumbs-up when we asked if he’d recommend it. He did cause a little damage in the apartment, and everyone responded with so much understanding and kindness. Thanks for the warm hospitality and a wonderful time. We’d love to return. ❤️😋😍

The quiet was lovely, with birdsong and the cows’ “moo” the only sounds around the trees, meadows and flowers. We stayed in the large apartment at Jakobsbauernhof, a family-run organic dairy farm in the Black Forest, and everything was cared for down to the smallest detail. Isabell was so kind and helpful, and made us feel at home. The apartment was spotless, with sheets, lots of towels and a fully equipped kitchen, including sugar, coffee and plenty of small appliances. There were games and coloring pages for children. On our first evening we bought fresh milk for breakfast, and Isabell showed us the milking and introduced us to the newborn calves. That was genuinely moving. A lovely bucolic stay in the Black Forest. Thank you!
