The room setup worked well: the bedroom and living room were practical and nicely furnished, with a comfortable bed and sofa, a big wardrobe, and a dining table with comfortable chairs. The kitchen was functional, and our hostess was friendly. It’s an old building with a lot of charm, though there’s no view, just the city theater wall out front and a courtyard behind. We stayed at the beginning of August 2023, and I don’t know whether anything has changed since then. The living room and bedroom were great, but the kitchen and bathroom were a real letdown. A few kitchen things bothered us. The extractor fan over the stove was broken, the mini-dishwasher took up useful food prep space, and the fridge had no freezer compartment. That wasn’t convenient for a self-catering stay, whether you wanted to freeze pizza for dinner or keep ice packs for the onward trip in an insulated box. There was also a strange bubbling device, presumably for air quality, and an air freshener plugged in right by the kitchen table. We switched them off because of the awful smell. Those devices might be fine in a bathroom, but not where people eat or sleep. The bathroom felt dated, the light switch was broken and needed replacing, and the red window curtain looked out of place. Parking was another consideration: it’s almost always paid, and finding a space isn’t always easy. People arriving by bicycle, motorcycle, taxi, train, bus, or similar should have fewer problems.

We’re so pleased with our stay. The owners were lovely, and the apartment felt modern and had everything we needed. They even had toys, a travel cot, a highchair, and other things for babies and toddlers. Fantastic!

Getting the keys was easy, with clear email instructions explaining where to go and what to do. The apartment itself is cozy, modern, and well equipped, and it’s not far from the city center. Everything worked out perfectly. Highly recommended.

We’ve come back to this lovely holiday apartment many times. Everything has been great, and we’d happily stay again.
