Freiburg is beautiful, and the surrounding area is stunning. We’ll definitely come back, though next time we wouldn’t want to stay so centrally. The apartment itself was clean and great, with a superbly equipped kitchen, comfortable beds, and bedding that smelled simply of clean laundry, without fabric softener. That was really pleasant. A few things made the stay less comfortable. It was extremely hot inside even in early May, and we had to keep the dark curtains closed throughout our two weeks. The bathroom drain had a slightly unpleasant smell, and there were some ants in the kitchen. The stairwell was narrow, which was awkward with luggage, and the parking space in front of the house was too tight, so we parked farther away on the street. The TV wasn’t great, and the internet connection was often unreliable. Even with our own USB stick, we could rarely stream properly. The owner also came by while we were out to check whether we were sorting the trash correctly. For two days, maintenance workers were on site and started at 8:15 a.m., so there was no sleeping in, though no one can be blamed for that. And it rained a lot! 🤷🏼‍♀️

We’ve stayed in the top-floor apartment seven times over three years. It’s always been top-notch, well equipped, and very well maintained. We’ll be back again.
