Penthouse-Appartements Freiburg

A supermarket is about a five minute walk away, and the tram stop is even closer, so reaching the old city was easy. There’s also a very nice coffee shop on the ground floor with great food at reasonable prices. Our apartment was modern and spacious, with a nice kitchen and living area, cooking gear, and a TV in every room. The two bedrooms each had a large, comfortable bed, and our dedicated parking spot was included at no extra cost. The woman who handed over the apartment was super friendly and gave us helpful information and advice. Great for two to four people.

The host was very friendly and explained everything clearly. We stayed over Easter weekend and really liked it. The apartment had what we needed, including a kitchen and utensils, and the host arranged an earlier check-in or later checkout in advance, depending on availability. There was complimentary wine and Easter gifts too. The location was good, with a couple of restaurants and bars nearby. The downstairs cafe had a nice atmosphere and was great for breakfast. Kaufland is about a five minute walk away, Sixt rental is right across from the apartment, and each flat has its own private parking space.

The apartment was spacious, modern, and clean, with well equipped furnishings and a full kitchen, including cleaning tools and soap. For the size, the nightly price felt reasonable. It had three TVs, one in each room and one in the living room, a terrace with a table and chairs for breakfast or coffee outside, shutters for privacy, comfortable beds, effective modern heating, plenty of outlets, strong water pressure in both the bathroom and kitchen, and an elevator. Late check-in was possible. Staff were friendly and reachable by phone, though there’s no lobby. There’s free private parking for each apartment, which is unusual in Freiburg where many places charge per night. The location is good, about ten minutes by car from Freiburg center and two minutes from Kaufland. There’s a bakery, ATM, diesel station, and car wash downstairs. Wifi was fast. There are a few drawbacks. The apartment isn’t soundproof, so you can hear neighbors through some walls and they can hear you. There’s no AC or even fans, so I wouldn’t recommend it in hot weather. The pillows are soft and your head sinks into them, though folding one helps. Nearly all TV channels are in German, with only two news channels in Arabic or English. There’s no food freezer, so frozen food needs to be cooked within two days of putting it in the fridge. Even with those issues, this is one of the best apartments I’ve stayed in.

The apartments are lovely, with plenty of room, full equipment, and a reasonable price. I’d recommend this place!
