Super 8 By Wyndham Freiburg

This was my worst hotel stay in years. The bathroom, desk, and bed sheets were dirty, and there were even empty beer bottles in the hallway. I told the staff, but got no response and no kind of reimbursement.

As the tour leader for a Spanish group staying in Freiburg, I want to mention the receptionist who looked after us so well. I can't remember his name exactly, but he was Latino and spoke fluent Spanish. He welcomed us warmly and professionally, then patiently took care of each issue and went out of his way to make sure things ran smoothly. His genuine care made a real difference for me and the whole group. Thank you for making the stay such a positive experience.

I was there for just one night, and the single bed was comfortable. The pillows stood out because they were properly filled, unlike the ones in some hotels that only look fluffy. Breakfast had a great selection, more than enough to satisfy, and service was polite and quick. I also liked the lobby design, with plenty of room to sit or wait.

For 69 Euros, we got a large, clean room in a nice, quiet place with a garden. It's 2.5 km from the city centre, and the staff were tremendous. I skipped breakfast, though it looked nice. There's free coffee and a good selection of snacks and beers, including Riegele.
