The Alex Hotel

The hotel is a great choice for visiting the university, close to the railway station and just beyond the historic centre. It's modern, and the small details are well handled, like the nice soap and shampoo in little bottles replaced daily and a water bottle refilled each day. The desk staff are extremely friendly and there 24/7. The side street is very quiet, except for a late-night party at the high school across the street on Thursday.

We stayed three nights and would come back. The room was small but laid out efficiently, modern, sleek, and very clean, with a large window and good shutters and curtains to block the light for sleeping. The location is lovely, convenient, and quiet, close to the historic center and within walking distance of the train station. Staff were very friendly and helpful, spoke excellent English, and gave us good restaurant recommendations.

The breakfast was a real highlight, creative and very high quality. The staff were so friendly and helpful, and both the hotel and the rooms felt modern and clean. The Alex Hotel is also in a really handy spot, near the main station and the city centre. Easily my favorite hotel in town, highly recommend it.

The room was modern and clean, and the location worked well, near the station but away from the old town bustle. It was quite a bit smaller than I expected, though, and the air conditioning struggled badly during the heatwave. I also wish breakfast were part of the room price. It costs extra, and picking something up at a nearby bakery is much cheaper.
