Viavelo Hotel

The neighborhood is really convenient, with shops, bakeries, supermarkets and a lovely pond nearby. I recommend going to see it even if the weather is rainy or cloudy. I only stayed one night, but as someone who's picky and doesn't easily sleep comfortably, I found the room very cozy. The room was clean, the bed comfortable, and reception was so warm and welcoming. Don't hesitate to ask them about places to visit around the city. Thanks for the service!

We’ll stay here again when we return to Freiburg. It was very comfortable and clean, with free parking and easy access by public transport. There are lots of amenities nearby for families with small children. We also enjoyed the breakfast buffet and the very nice staff. If you arrive after reception hours, the check-out machine outside makes it easy to get in.

We arrived at the Vivavelo Hotel Freiburg at 9 PM after a long day of driving and work, and the check-in turned into a nightmare. It was hard to find the hotel, and there was no parking available when we got there. The whole place was locked, and entry depended on an automatic check-in system that seemed to be malfunctioning. My colleague and I spent two desperate hours outside trying to get in. We called the "emergency number" at least five times and got no help. Another woman was locked out too and couldn't check in. Eventually nobody answered our calls. When I finally got through to someone, they told me that "they" had no problem, but I did. I demanded that our reservation be canceled then and there. I won't forget the sight of three women in the middle of the night, struggling with a broken machine and receiving no care from Vivavelo Hotel's so-called customer support. It was infuriating and completely unacceptable. Avoid the hotel if you value your time and sanity.

For two nights it's alright, as long as you don't expect much. The room wasn't very cozy, cleanliness was seriously lacking, the wifi signal was poor, and there was no fridge, which was inconvenient. Getting checked in nearly became a problem because the desk is staffed only until 6 PM. The location is convenient, with a Penny store nearby that's open until 10 PM. Seepark is close too, nice for a walk or run, or just sitting and relaxing. You also get a free public transport ticket for your stay, which is a nice extra.
