The area is peaceful and has lots of hiking routes nearby. Sarah made us feel welcome and was so friendly, clearly wanting our stay to go well. A wonderful place to stay, and I’ll definitely come back if I get the chance.

The lodge has common rooms stocked with books and board games, and breakfast is delicious, with things the host bakes herself. She’s warm and very friendly. A great place to stay in the Black Forest.

A really good place.

The Tischer family let our motorcycle group keep our bikes in their private garage for free after we asked, which was really kind. I can’t say anything about breakfast since we ate out, but it still gets five stars from me. We stayed from July 25th to 27th, 2025. The rooms have modern furnishings, and the toilet and shower were clean. Towels were provided.
