We had a wonderful few days at the Warteck Hotel in Freudenstadt over Christmas. The location is very convenient, right by the main square and shops, and within an easy walk of major transport links, including the train station for trips to France. Check-in was smooth, and after a day in the snow our room felt warm, cozy, and comfortable. It had a mini bar, and the bed’s comforter was the finest European quality I’ve ever experienced. Breakfast came with the room and was unforgettable, with German specialties, European breads, pastries, cheeses, meats, fresh fruit, coffee, and sparkling water. It was served in a quaint, upscale, cozy, family-friendly restaurant. The staff were sweet, attentive, and professional throughout. I highly recommend the Warteck Hotel to anyone visiting Freudenstadt for its comfort, charm, hospitality, and location.

The manager was very friendly, and we wanted for nothing. Everything was just right, from the room and cleanliness to the fantastic breakfast. It’s a beautiful hotel in a very central spot, with shops and parking nearby. One of our best stops in the Black Forest, without a doubt. We hope to come back someday.

I love staying here when I'm in Germany, it's my favorite place. The staff are wonderful, and the bed is comfortable with top quality linens. The bathrooms have been updated. The food is outstanding, so if you're there on a day other than Tuesday or Wednesday, try the restaurant.
