Hotel Restaurant Zur Traube

Such a shame, because the hotel itself is nice. Our room was freezing when we arrived since the heating was off. The bathrooms also needed better cleaning: some toilets were dirty and had toothpaste left behind. Breakfast was okay, though food was still stuck to the dirty plates and cutlery. The staff member there was unfriendly. I wouldn't come back.

We left without finishing our food or coffee. The meals were unappetizing, and the coffee was undrinkable. On top of that, the atmosphere felt unpleasant, with staff speaking rudely and arguing loudly among themselves. We had hoped for much better, so the visit was a real disappointment.

That bed gave me one of the best nights of sleep I've had in ages. The room was lovely too, with the bed in the middle, a big bright bathroom, and a little sitting area where you could relax and watch TV in the evening. While I moved the car, my girlfriend was shown to our room, and the welcome at reception was very friendly. Breakfast was a small buffet, but there was plenty to enjoy: rolls, little jars of different jams, juice, coffee, tea, cold cuts, and cheese. The choices changed each day, and scrambled eggs were available if you asked. We felt right at home and would pick this hotel again if we're in the area.

We got help planning things to do in our free time, and everything worked out to our complete satisfaction. The price was excellent for what we got, and we'd recommend the hotel. Our room was neat and clean, the staff were very friendly, and breakfast had a wide, varied selection. We also really enjoyed the hotel and its surroundings.
