The climbing playground right outside was a huge hit with my son, and free use of the indoor pool was a lovely extra. We had some great, exciting days exploring the Bavarian Forest. The apartment was comfortable, with a beautiful view from the balcony. Check-in and check-out were easy, and the landlady was very friendly and accommodating. I’d love to return.

The view is fantastic, and the newly renovated pool and very decent restaurant in the building made the stay feel like a real five-star experience. The apartment was clean and tidy, with thoughtful touches like fruit, coffee, and tea. We were two adults and two children, and we’d definitely come back.

Geyersberg is a good base for hikes, while Freyung town center is about a 10-minute drive down into the valley. The Mitterdorf ski center is roughly 20 minutes away by car. The holiday complex also has a ski school, a small lift when there’s snow, mini-golf, billiards, and a kiosk. The apartment is on the third floor, with an elevator, and has a south-facing balcony with beautiful panoramic views. There’s a small indoor pool in the building, and the landlady was very friendly. Inside, there’s one bedroom with two beds and a living room with two sofa beds, plus a TV, DVD player, Wi-Fi, stereo, and a dining table for four. The bathroom has a shower and toilet. The small kitchen has a fridge, oven, and microwave, but no dishwasher.
