Hotel Forsthaus Nürnberg Fürth

The food and cocktails at the bar were really delicious, and the service was nice. Everything was great. Just be ready for kids if you plan to use the pool in the evening 😇

The forest and its trails make for a quiet, peaceful setting, and the pool, sauna, gym and massage services are nice to have. Breakfast was good, and the buffet staff were warm and welcoming. I appreciated their effort. The beds were comfortable, though the sofa bed wasn't. The rooms are quite basic and didn't look like I expected from the picture. We had a lot of luggage and couldn't carry it upstairs ourselves, but nobody offered help or showed us where to find a luggage carrier. I asked for an iron; first the lady said she'd bring it to the room, then she said she'd give it to me to carry upstairs. When I came back from picking something up at the restaurant, the iron and board were left in a corner, as if they'd been thrown there. It seemed like too much trouble to leave them neatly. Later, we sat at an outdoor table hoping to order dessert. We were told to move to the sofas by the entrance because the restaurant was closing. Once I said we wanted dessert, suddenly we could stay at the tables and it seemed the restaurant wasn't closing after all. Paying was awkward too. The lady asked how much change we expected, which felt rude and like she clearly wanted a tip. Tips are given, but I've never had anyone ask that before. The service experience wasn't very nice, and I didn't expect that from this hotel.

The woods around Forsthaus Hotel in Fürth offer a peaceful break from city noise, and that setting is its main charm. But in my opinion, the hotel has seen better days. It's still being expanded, yet doesn't meet the standard I'd expect of a modern, accessible place to stay. As a wheelchair user, getting to my room was inconvenient: I had to take two different elevators and travel a long way through corridors. With luggage, that layout could be especially frustrating for anyone with mobility concerns. Breakfast felt less appealing than I remembered from earlier stays. It was acceptable for a night or two, but the quality and range weren't what I'd experienced before at Forsthaus. There are probably more interesting options nearby for better value. The early spring chill also made the forest setting feel a bit cold, though that might matter less in warmer months. For a short visit focused on finding a quiet spot, it could work. I wouldn't choose it for a longer stay or if easier accessibility is needed, especially with good alternatives nearby.

Our room worked well for a family of four, and the smart TV was a nice touch. There was plenty of parking, and being at the end of a dead end meant no noise. The hotel is beautiful, with a great indoor pool and gym. Breakfast was very good, but go at least an hour before it closes. I'd recommend it.
