The restaurant was a real highlight for us. It’s comfortable, with a classic design that still feels modern, and the food was the best we ate during our whole week in Germany. The kitchen closes early, with last orders at 18:30, but it was totally worth it. Try their Käsespätzle! The place is beautiful and calm, easy to find, and has parking. The rooms are old school, with the toilet and shower in the corridor and only a sink in the room, but everything is very clean. The staff are incredibly helpful and always smiling. Breakfast has a waffle machine, which was very exciting, and the selection is great. You’re usually in this area by car. Do yourself a favour and have at least one dinner here, even if the old school room isn’t your style!

This is only about the restaurant service. We’d been swimming in the clear, lovely lake about 20 meters away with our two kids, so we hadn’t brought street clothes. When the kids got hungry, we hoped to grab a small lunch at the nice-looking restaurant. While we waited for a table, a very rude woman told us we couldn’t sit there in our bathing suits, even though the restaurant is right beside a swimming lake. We ended up taking fries, a beer, and a latte to go. The fries and beer were good, but the latte was lukewarm.

We booked at the last minute after our campsite flooded, and the stay turned out to be better than we expected. The lake is gorgeous and so peaceful. The staff were wonderful, the beds comfortable, and the rooms laid out well, though the floorboards creak a little. Breakfast had a great selection and a waffle machine, which was very exciting, and there was plenty of parking. The road up is a bit winding, but it takes you into nature and away from everyday life. We’d definitely recommend it and hope to come back soon.

We only stopped in for lunch, and everything was amazing, from the drinks and shared apps to the entrees and, of course, the "dessert fairy". There’s comfortable, spacious seating inside, while outside you get quaint views of the lake.
