The breakfast was excellent, varied, and high quality. I judge a breakfast partly by its coffee, and this one was good. The wellness area was nice too and added something extra. I’d come back. We had two rooms. Our friends weren’t happy with their double bed, which was actually two single beds pushed together, and the beds shifted during the night. Ours was put together the same way, but it didn’t bother us.

It was a very walkable area, with easy parking and a central location close to everything. Our room was very large, and breakfast was included. Free city transit was available too. The air conditioning in our room wasn’t great, but everything else was fine.

The room and breakfast were great, but check-in was frustrating. We rang the bell and could hear people talking, yet had to wait for their conversation to finish. We’d requested two beds, but our room had one, so we went back to the desk. The staff member went to check on another room for us. By the time she came back, a tour group had arrived with room problems, and we had to wait while she dealt with them instead of just being given a new key so we could go. She may have been stressed, but the check-in experience wasn’t good.

Hi guys, it’s me, the Minotaur of Crete from your favorite maze in Greece. When I visit Fussen for its architecture, history, and food, I stay at the Luitpoldpark Hotel. It’s only steps from the train station that brings you into town, and from the main bus stop for the nearby Nuechwanstein castles. The hotel itself is where my half-man, half-bull self can roam. Its endless corridors, doors, corners, floors, and stairs make a dizzying labyrinth where I can search for lost souls and nearly lose my way myself. The pillows are great, and the bathrooms are spacious enough for a seven-foot mythical creature like me.

Such a cozy hotel, and the location makes it easy to walk into town or catch a bus. The staff were lovely and the service was hard to fault. Irina was a gem, going out of her way to help us and making us feel so welcome! ☺️🙌🏼
