The staff were really friendly, and the place was clean and affordable. I’d definitely recommend it.

Rustic village pub.

We always felt well looked after at Alte Post, and the visits were friendly and enjoyable. We ate there three times, and the generous portions and excellent food were consistent every time. It’s an old building, but it’s clean and very well maintained. The waiter was professional and always had a funny comment ready. We’d gladly return!

The beef roulade was incredibly tender, and the side salad was especially tasty. Each raw vegetable had its own dressing, and it all went perfectly together. On our second visit, we had a large salad plate with schnitzel. The terrace is nicely screened from the street by a hedge and has a beautiful view of Lake Constance. The Gasthaus Zur Post serves excellent German food, from schnitzel and roasts to salads, and the service is outstanding, courteous, and attentive. I also liked the idea of asking, “Would you like a small salad?” It seems good for business 😀👍. We highly recommend the restaurant.
