Hotel Rheinischer Hof

A welcoming, comfortable hotel with cozy rooms, an excellent breakfast, and a high-quality spa. All the staff were friendly, and the price was reasonable. Booking directly through the hotel was much cheaper than using booking. The free evening bar with tea, coffee, and cold drinks is a great idea.

Breakfast was really nice, and the pool area was fantastic. The other front desk staff were friendly and went out of their way to find us a room at the last minute. They also let us stay in our room longer and use the hotel's shared area after checkout. We stayed in the unit across the street. The room itself was fine, but a neighbor made sleep impossible by scraping and shuffling snow on the asphalt at 4 a.m. The noise was like construction, and it went on for an hour. I understand snow has to be cleared, just not then and for that long. Monika at reception was rude and unpleasant, and treated ordinary questions like personal attacks. There are plenty of bad reviews about her online, and I think she's damaging the hotel's reputation. If I owned the place, I'd have her looking for a new job by tomorrow morning. It's a mystery why someone who seems to dislike people would work in hospitality.

The room was spacious, though it could use a few updates. We had a great stay thanks to the staff and management, especially the front desk team, who were terrific at guiding us on our daily excursions. Breakfast was great, too. The location is very convenient, right by a bus stop and close to a grocery store and restaurants. We recommend this place. Thanks!

The breakfast buffet was delicious, with lots of local products, fresh orange juice, and plenty of choice. Staff were friendly and helpful throughout our stays, and the hotel itself is friendly and pleasant. We've stayed in both buildings. The annex across the street has a classic design, and our top-floor room there had a beautiful mountain view. On our second visit we were on the top floor of the main building, where the rooms have a modern design. It's about 2 km from the city center, but there's a bus stop right outside with service into town and back. Such an easy way to get around.
