The rooms are spacious and comfortable, and the old building with its exposed beams is lovely. But the service was the worst I've experienced in Germany so far. When I couldn't get the WLAN to connect, they told me it had worked the day before and that it was my problem. The nerve.

We visited in winter, so we couldn't make use of the grounds, though there seems to be room there to relax with coffee or a glass of wine in summer. The rest of our nearly week-long stay at Zehnthof was just right for my sister and me. Our room was comfortable, the beds had soft linens, and the shower had great water pressure. Breakfast was always satisfying and good value. It felt like a family setting, with fresh breads, meats, cheeses, and more than you'd expect for an affordable breakfast. Say yes to it. Harold greeted us warmly when we arrived, got us checked in quickly, and showed us to our room. Harold (Jr) checked that we had what we needed, and it helped that he speaks English. At breakfast, Harry (Sr) looked after us, pointed us toward our daily activities, and went out of his way to make the visit pleasant. We had a precious time in Geldersheim. Whether you're here for one business or holiday stopover, or a longer visit with family and friends, Zehnthof is hands down the best lodging choice around Geldersheim and Schweinfurt.
