The room cleaning was regular and tidy, and the room itself felt spacious, peaceful, airy and safe. It's only a few minutes' walk from Gersthofen city. Breakfast had plenty of cheese and European pastries and bread, along with a broad selection of teas, including Japanese, English, Chinese and Indian types.

Gersthofen is a lovely place to walk around, and this family-run hotel is lovely too. Everything looks beautiful, and the rooms have a comfortable, attractive design. There was plenty to choose from in the breakfast area. Highly recommend!

The rooms felt old-fashioned, and there was no AC. It was very hot, so I asked for a fan but didn't get one. Our room was right above the hotel restaurant. On a hot summer night we left the windows open, and smoke from people smoking downstairs made it feel like we were sleeping in a smoking room. It went on until 1:30 a.m. I complained to reception twice, at 12:45 and then at 1:15, and they finally closed the restaurant then. I also asked to change rooms that day or the next, but was told the hotel was fully booked. I strongly wouldn't recommend this hotel to anyone.

The restaurant is exquisite, and the zwiebel rostbraten is my absolute favorite. Breakfast was very good too, especially the salmon. Staff were really friendly and helpful. The room wasn't very big and had no fridge, but the hotel is right by the highway, so it's easy to reach.

The location is decent and quiet, and the food was by far the best I've had in Germany. The homemade speck and fish were like five-star dining. The rooms are another matter, old and quite bare.
